What is Visual Communication Design?
Visual Communication Design is a very broad term encompassing Graphic Design, Information Design, Instructional Design, Visual Storytelling and various products of cultural and visual information. In today’s competitive and information-rich world, visual communication design is indispensable. From the moment we wake up, most of our experiences, actions, perceptions, and decisions are informed and controlled by design.
On a daily basis, the faces of clocks, our street signs, magazines, books, posters, advertisements, package labels, logos and branding, ATM interfaces, film, television and websites help us to access vital information about the world around us. This is the Central Creative Domain (CCD) for designers of Visual Communication.
For the beyond sixteen (16) years and greater I’ve had the opportunity to exercise diverse and contrasting experiences inside the subject of designing, innovation, studies and implementation of distinctive and unique thoughts into digital expressions. Concurrently, I persisted the process of learning and development of an information base with numerous avocations.
An Impetuous Resolution
A latent feel of inadequacy gradually emerged deep down my thoughts and beliefs. With time I began to realize the need of expressing my words and myself. Well, we often say that there is always, a beginning of a beginning. And that too came while I was searching for guitar pieces on YouTube.
Suddenly I found a video from TEDx Talks, where for the first time I saw and learned about Lygometry, presented by Amin Toufani.
Since then I too started to learn about the things we know that we don’t know! We don’t know everything and it’s not at all required or even it’s not possible to know everything, and that’s absolutely fine, but we simply deny to accept or ask for the things, that we don’t know, moreover we don’t even try to know the things, that we don’t know.
So I, Rahul Mukherjee pushed my ego aside and started asking, from everyone, everywhere and even from myself.
